Delta State’s International students to hold panel discussion

Delta State University’s International Student Association will hold a panel discussion entitled "Diversity: Beyond Black and White" on Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Jacob Conference Center of Hall Ewing on the campus.

 
Panelists include Dr. Macklyn Hubbell, Doctor of Specialty Counseling, author and guest columnist and Senior Southern Baptist minister; Dr. Mike Carr, retired Delta State professor of behavioral sciences; Guilherme Russo, International Student Association president and political science major at Delta State; Delta State faculty members, Dr. Paulette Meikle-Yaw, Dr. Debarashmi Mitra, both assistant professor’s of community development and sociology; and Dr. Stephen King, professor of  communication studies.
 
Moderator for the panel will be Dr. Albert Nylander, dean, Graduate and Continuing Studies at Delta State. 
 
The purpose of the panel is to enhance diversity awareness in the Delta and on the Delta State campus.
 
The event is free and open to the public.
