By February 1, 2013General

Delta State University Continuing Education, in partnership with AirEvac Lifeteam, is offering a Heartsaver CPR certification course for individuals needing a certification card or wishing to learn how to perform CPR. In this classroom-based course, participants will learn to recognize several life threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe and effective manner. The course is also designed for educators to earn CEU/SEMI credits to assist with license recertification needs. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn the key changes in CPR under the 2010 American Heart Association guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

The course will meet on Tuesday, February 19 at 4 p.m. in the H. L. Nowell Union Room 302A on the Delta State campus.  The cost is $20 per person, which includes the cost of CEU/SEMI credits. Certification cards will be issued for participants who successfully complete the course.

Pre-Registration is required. The deadline to register is Wednesday, February 13.  Interested applicants must contact Marilyn Read in the Office of Continuing Education at (662) 846-4874 or e-mail mread@deltastate.edu.
