Delta States Con-Ed to offer a CPR and life guarding class

Delta State University Graduate and Continuing Studies will offer a CPR and life guarding class where participants will be taught vital life saving techniques in the event of an emergency.

The adult/infant CPR class under the instruction of John Read, RN, NREMT-B is scheduled to meet on in Monday, April 20 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.the Simmons Room of the Alumni-Foundation House.
Participants will receive a two year CPR certification sponsored by the American Heart Association.
CPR is vital for those that are in frequent contact with infants and small children as well as adults.New parents, day care providers, baby sitters, and school teachers should all be knowledge of CPR and prepared to administer CPR in the event of an emergency. Registration fee is $40. Deadline to register is April 13.
Ronnie Mayers will be the instructor for the life guarding certification class scheduled to meet Monday through Thursday May 4-7 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the DSU Aquatics Center on campus.
 
This course will give participants the qualifications and ability they need to save lives. To be eligible for the class, you must be at least 15 years old and be in sound physical condition. You must attend all four days, pass preliminary swimming tests and qualifications to receive certification.
 
 Registration fee is $150. Enrollment is limited to 30 people so early registration is recommended.
