Delta State University art majors Shanna Sechler, of New Orleans, Alejandra Torres, of Lima, Peru, and Paul-Andrew Sechler, of Prague, Czechoslovakia, examine a painting by fellow art student Allen Morris, of Cleveland, in preparation for the annual Student Art Show which will be held in the Wright Art Center Gallery beginning Sunday, April 7 with a reception from 4 – 6 p.m. The juried show will be selected by Clarksdale artist Mara Califf from entries into all media categories taught in the art department. A special feature of the opening is the awarding of student prizes for exemplary work. The prizes were generously provided by community members and local businesses .
