Delta State to host ILED Entrepreneurship Conference

By April 13, 2009General

The Mississippi Delta Regional Innovation Partnership is sponsoring the ILED Entrepreneurship Conference on Tuesday, April 21, from 10:30 a.m.- 6:30 p.m. in the Baioni Conference Center of Broom Hall on the campus of Delta State University.

The ILED conference provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs and those resource providers with whom they work closely to network and gain new skills. The conference is the product of Mississippi Technology Alliance and Delta State University.

The conference is open to the public and is free of charge. Entrepreneurs and those involved in economic development are invited and encouraged to attend.  Reservations are required.

The conference’s aim is to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to learn methods critical to growth of innovation-based businesses. Those attending will be able to meet others with similar backgrounds as well as becoming familiar with businesses and organizations with whom they work closely in the future.

Over lunch, attendees are treated to a question and answer session from those participating on a technology panel.  There will be four sessions after lunch and it culminates with a networking opportunity which is in close collaboration with the Cleveland Area Network Association.

This conference is sponsored by the Mississippi Delta Regional Innovation Partnership, a consortium of organizations focused on advancing the economic development of that region. These partners, including Mississippi Valley State University, Delta State University College of Business, the Delta Economic Development Center of Washington County, and the Delta Citizens Alliance, work with chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, schools and local governmental agencies.
