Delta State faculty celebrate publication of textbook

Delta State social science and community development faculty, from left, Dr. Jerry Robinson, Dr. Alan Barton, Dr. Paulette Meikle, Dr. John Green and Dr. Albert Nylander III show the fruits of their labor: a newly published textbook entitled  “Introduction to Community Development: Theory, Practice and Service Learning.”

 
Robinson served as author and co-editor of the 328 page book. Barton, Miekle-Yaw, Green and Nylander served as contributing writers for the book designed to provide students of community and economic development with a theoretical and practical introduction to the field of community development.
 
The textbook was co-authored/edited by Gary Paul Green, professor of rural sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
