The 2008 Delta State University Alumni Hall of Fame inductees are Langston Rogers, Ann Hannaford Lamar and  Peter Jernberg Jr.  This distinguished group will be inducted October 31, at the annual DSU Alumni Service Awards Luncheon.

Peter Jernberg, a native of Sumner, received both his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Delta State. In 1988, he was appointed headmaster of Jackson Academy and was named President and CEO in 2005.  At Delta State, Jernberg was active in the Student Government Association, and President of Kappa Alpha Order. He has served as president of the Alumni Association and president of the DSU Development Foundation. He is married to Patricia Wolfe, a 1967 Delta State graduate. 

Ann Hannaford Lamar of Senatobia earned a Bachelor of Science in education degree from Delta State in 1974. She worked as an administrative assistant to the Governor’s Office of Education and Training from 1974-1977, while her husband earned a degree from Mississippi College School of Law. She then received a law degree from the University Of Mississippi School of Law. Lamar was recently appointed to the Mississippi Supreme Court. Justice Lamar is the third woman to serve on the Mississippi Supreme Court. She and her husband, John T. Lamar, have two adult children, John T. Lamar III (Trey), and Vance Lamar. 

Langston Rogers is in his 28th year with Ole Miss, having joined the Rebel athletics staff in 1981, as sports information director. In 1984, he was named the assistant athletic director for sports information, and has since been promoted to senior associate athletic director. Prior to joining Ole Miss, Rogers served 17 years as the sports information director at Delta State. Rogers earned both the B.S.E. and M.Ed. degrees from Delta State, where he was a member of the baseball team, playing for Boston Red Sox Hall of Famer Dave "Boo" Ferriss. He is married to the former Paula Lowery of Cleveland. They have two children, Laura and Bill, and three grandchildren, Austin, Anna and Abbie.

Induction into the Delta State University Alumni Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the DSU Alumni Association. Established in 2007, the Alumni Hall of Fame is extended to alumni and friends who have achieved professional distinction and made significant community service contributions at the local, national and/or international level and who have thus brought honor and distinction to Delta State University
