Amanda Corkran performs her junior recital April 10 in the Recital Hall at the BPAC.The Delta State University Department of Music presents Amanda Corkran in her junior flute recital on April 10 at 1:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The performance is free and open to the public.
Corkran, a junior flute major from Olive Branch, is the daughter of Charles and Joyce Corkran. She studies with Dr. Shelley Collins, associate professor of flute and music history at Delta State.
Since entering Delta State in 2010, Corkran has been involved with DSU Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Flute Ensemble, Marching Band, Chorale and Delta Singers. She is a member of the Gamma Zeta chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon.
Corkran will be performing compositions by Vivaldi, Taktakishvili and Barber.
