As a reminder, DSU’s official summer office hours are from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch. The summer work schedule started on May 7, 2018 and will end on August 9, 2018. All full-time employees are required to work 40 hours per week. Should this schedule create a hardship, please speak with your supervisor. Each department head should submit names to Human Resources of those who are unable to work the above schedule, so alternate arrangements can be made for the employee to work in Kent Wyatt Hall on Fridays.
Offices are required to be opened from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Offices are not required to be open on Friday unless special departmental activities/events require you to be open, or if deemed a critical need by your respective vice president.
Personal leave may be used in accordance with university policy and with supervisor’s approval. Personal leave may also be utilized on Fridays by those employees who wish to work the 8 to 5 schedule, instead of the Monday through Thursday schedule. You must have personal leave available should you decide to take personal leave on Fridays. Employees who miss a full day of work Monday through Thursday, will be required to use 10 hours of leave.
Regular office hours from 8 to 5 will resume August 13, 2018.
