Senior saxophone performance and education major Dakota Young will present his senior saxophone recital on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at 7:30 PM in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The recital, presented by the Delta State University Department of Music, is free and open to the public.
He will perform compositions by Gabrielli, Ibert, Benson, Singelée, and Molinelli.
Since entering DSU in 2015, he has been involved and performed with the DSU Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Saxophone Duo, Trio, and Quartet. Young is also a member of the Mu Phi Epsilon and Pi Kappa Lamba fraternities. From Grenada, Miss., he studies with Dr. Bret Pimentel, associate professor of music.
