The 20th Annual Sammy O. Cranford History Lecture is set for April 6, at 7 p.m. in Jobe Hall Auditorium. The 2017 lecturer is Dr. Calvin White Jr., associate professor of history and chair of the history department at the University of Arkansas. White’s talk is titled, “Standing at the Vanguard: Oscar Stanton De Priest, A Black Congressmen Among White Segregationists.”
