Delta state fans tailgating pregame.The Delta State University National Alumni Association traveled to Livingston, Alabama last Saturday to support the Statesmen as they faced the University of West Alabama. The Alumni Association set up a tent and over 45 Delta State Alumni and friends participated. Delta State staff members present included Jeffrey Farris, director of alumni affairs, and Craig Roden, Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
The Alumni Association provided visitors with game day snack, Nehi products, University promotional items, gifts to National Alumni Association Members, and departmental information to guests of the tailgate. The day was capped off by a 45-24 win over UWA .
This Saturday, November 1, the Number 19 Statesmen face Number 3 University of North Alabama at home. The Delta State University Alumni Association will host a tailgate at Statesmen Park starting at 3:30 p.m. Look for the Alumni Association tent.
Alumni members who show their membership card will receive a gift from the alumni office. Bring your legacies by the tent for a coloring book. Also, anyone who brings a prospective student by the tent to fill out admissions information will receive a DSU pennant. The Alumni Association will also be handing out Beat UNA and Beat TUNA stickers.
