Fireside Chat – April 29, 2019 – New Food Service Vendor, Sodexo

Joining President LaForge is Jamie Rutledge, vice president for finance and administration.

What’s the way to a college student’s heart? Food. We recently announced the transition to a new food service vendor, Sodexo. And, with that comes a full-service Chick-fil-A, a Firehouse Subs shop, and a Starbucks — all to be located in the student union. Renovations will take place this summer, will cost about $2 million, and should be complete in time for the fall semester. Here are some other numbers to munch on about these delicious developments:

•Chick-fil-A reported more than $10 billion in revenue in 2018.
•In 2017, Firehouse Subs generated sales of more than $715 million in the United States.
•There are 29,865 Starbucks in the world.
•Starbucks’ annual revenue for fiscal year 2018 reached $24.7 billion.
