Fireside Chat – March 25, 2019 – SGA Elections

Joining President LaForge to talk about the Student Government Association elections is Charlie King, SGA President.

The Student Government Association is holding its annual elections this week. Here are some numbers on the SGA.

  • Six positions are up for election, including president, vice president, and chief justice.
  • The SGA cabinet is comprised of 15 members, of which 6 are elected and 9 are appointed.
  • There are 20 senate members, representing all aspects of student life.
  • Voting will take place throughout the day March 25-27 at the H.L. Nowell Student Union.
  • 48 years ago, President LaForge was elected SGA President in a hotly contested race that featured a one-vote victory in a primary election.
