Delta State University Alumnus Will Bradham Establishes Two $500 College of Business Scholarships

Will Bradham and his daughter, Anna Reese, 5, and son, Wilkes, 8, stop by the Hugh Ellis Walker Alumni-Foundation House for a photo during Delta State’s 2018 homecoming festivities in November.

Delta State University alumnus Will Bradham believes in giving back. That’s why the Merigold resident created the Bradham Family Scholarship to provide two annual $500 scholarships to undergraduate students in the College of Business and Aviation. They must be enrolled full time, earn a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8, and participate in some aspect of campus life.

“I have always tried to give back,” said the 2001 graduate, who majored in marketing, and whose brother, sister, and brother-in-law also are Delta State alumni. “If it’s something I believe will make a difference, I give.”

Delta State made a difference to Bradham, he said. “I feel I owe the university a lot more than it owes me,” said the owner/operator of Right at Home of North MS, Delta Maids, and Bradham Rental Properties. “I feel a good education and the right experiences while getting that education will shape the leaders we so desperately need.”

Positive Delta State experiences for the Clarksdale, Miss. native included serving as president of the Catholic Student Association, Kappa Alpha Order, and the Interfraternity Council.

Bradham worked his way through college, selling shoes at Conerly’s in Cleveland and waiting tables and bartending at Crawdad’s in Merigold. That’s another reason for the scholarships. “I hope they provide a little help to those that truly need it,” he said.

That’s also why one of his favorite quotes is: “Success is measured by the amount of people you help along the way.”
