Lockdown lifted at campus

The suspect, Shannon Lamb, has been apprehended, and the campus lockdown has been lifted.

Campus offices will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Classes remain cancelled for Tuesday.

Counseling services will be available starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Jacob Conference Center for group sessions, and Kethley 231 for private sessions. Counselors will also be available in residence halls. Contact Dr. Richard Houston at 662-846-4630 for more information.

The university greatly appreciates the assistance of local, state, and federal law enforcement officers in keeping the campus safe.

The Delta State family mourns the loss of our friend and colleague, Dr. Ethan Schmidt.
