Pinterest workshop offered by Continuing Education

Delta State University’s Department of Continuing Education is offering the “Pinterest Inspired Crafty Creations” workshop Oct. 14 from 6-8 p.m. in the Simmons Room of the Hugh Ellis Walker Alumni House. Community members are welcome to register for the event in advance.

Local crafting community member, Leah Carlson Ferretti, will be the instructor for the workshops.

“Leah has taught several of these fun and creative workshops for us in the past, and we are looking forward to bringing another one to our community,” said says Elizabeth Joel, coordinator of Continuing Education. “Each class is always full of laughter and creativity. Our participants have always been good about sharing additional techniques that they learned once practicing these crafts at home.”

Participants who attend this hands-on creative workshop will leave with five unique handmade gifts, along with instructions on how to recreate them at home for this holiday gift-giving season. Items to be made include: picture perfect coasters, monogrammed and hand-painted bags, decorative monogrammed mugs, homemade body butter and decoupage plates.

The deadline to register is noon on Oct. 11. Space is limited and early registration is required. To sign up or for more information, contact Joel in the Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies at 662-846-4871 or e-mail ejoel@deltastate.edu.
