By October 2, 2013College of Arts and Sciences

The American Chemical Society (ACS) at Delta State will offer professional development and networking opportunities to students, faculty, staff and the community at a resume workshop and webinar.

The event will be held in Eleanor Boyd Walters Hall in room 174 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 8 and is sponsored by student members of the ACS. Networking and light appetizers will be served, and door prizes will be awarded. Participants are encouraged but not required to bring an appetizer to share; best hors d’oeuvre will receive a prize.

The event will include a webinar involving groups from around the country and will provide the opportunity to network, review resume samples, ask questions, and more.

Instructor of Science Education in the Department of Biological and Physical Sciences Lacey Fitts said, “Resume skills cross all boundaries, and everyone can benefit from learning more about how to present themselves on paper and online.
