Mary Anderson Pickard, a 1958 graduate of Delta State University and daughter of Walter Anderson, recently hosted President William N. LaForge at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art (WAMA) in Ocean Springs as part of the National Alumni Association’s “Day on the Coast.”  LaForge was joined on the tour by Dr. Henry Outlaw, chair emeritus of the Department of Physical Sciences at Delta State, Rosemary Roosa, executive director of WAMA,  Richard Myers, president of the National Alumni Association, and Keith Fulcher, executive director of the Delta State University Alumni and Foundation.

The group viewed the current gallery at her father’s museum and listened to Mary describe the room her father painted from the floor to ceiling.  More information on the WAMA can be found at www.walterandersonmuseum.org
