Egdorf to perform senior recital on April 11

The Delta State University Department of Music will present Jessica Egdorf in her senior flute recital on April 11, at 1:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. Egdorf will be performing compositions by Marias, Prokofiev, and Mozart. The recital is free and open to the public.

Egdorf, a senior flute major from Hernando, is the daughter of Lee and Jackie Egdorf. She studies with Dr. Shelley Collins, Associate Professor of Flute at Delta State University. Since entering Delta State in 2009, she has been involved with the Delta State University Wind Ensemble, Flute Ensemble, Chorale, and Chamber Singers. She is a recipient of the Jeff Ross Capwell Scholarship, has been selected twice to perform in the Delta State University Department of Music Honors Recital, received honorable mention in the Mississippi Music Teachers Association Concerto Competition in 2012, and has won several chamber music competitions as a member of the DSU Flute Quartet.

She is an active member and serves as Chorister of the professional music fraternity Mu Phi Epsilon, Gamma Zeta Chapter.
