Local Schools Discover The TRUE Story of the Three Little Pigs at the BPAC

By January 31, 2013General

On January 29, over 1,400 local school children arrived at the Bologna Performing Arts Center to enjoy matinee performances of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, presented by the Dallas Children’s Theater. Students traveled to the BPAC from several counties including Bolivar, Coahoma, Leflore, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tunica, and Washington.

Based on the hilariously popular children’s book, the play puts the Big Bad Wolf on trial for the murder of the Three Little Pigs. This high-energy performance was full of opportunities for audience participation. The students in the audience were encouraged to “oink” and “squeal” as they became a jury of piglets who got to decide the Wolf’s fate. When the Big Bad Wolf was found not guilty by the audience, the theater erupted with oinks, squeals, and applause from the audience.

The next matinee performance, Clifford the Big, Red Dog: Live!, will be held on February 19, 2013. To reserve tickets, please call the BPAC Arts Education department at 662-846-4844.
