John Allison, documentary filmmaker, photographer, and son of the legendary Delta jazz performer and composer Mose Allison, recently relocated to Mississippi from New York City.  He came to Cleveland to donate memorabilia commemorating his famous father to the DSU Delta Center for Culture and Learning. Included in the gift are original watercolors Mose Allison painted back in the 50’s as well as discs, posters and sheet music.  This gift expands the Center’s Mose Allison collection, which was started with a gift of manuscripts and photographs by Berry Allison, Mose Allison’s sister-in-law.
