The Delta State University Department of Music will present Christopher Winston in his senior voice recital on Thursday, February 23, at 1:40 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.
Winston, a senior voice major from Fairhope, Ala., studies with Assistant Voice Professor Chad Payton. Since entering Delta State University in 2009, he has been involved with the Delta State Chorale, Chamber Singers, and accompanied the Delta Singers. Winston taught in the Piano Preparatory Program, and collaborated in events including the Delta State Honor Choir, Ensemble Competition, and many others. He serves as Chorister of Mu Phi Epsilon and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Winston is the grandson of Gary and Marlene Tedder.
Winston will be performing compositions by Dowland, Quilter, Gordon, Bellini, Schumann, Fauré, and Hahn. For more information, contact the Delta State University Music Department at 662-846-4615.
