Delta State University Opera to present “Little White Lies”

The students of Delta State University Opera will present an afternoon of opera scenes titled “Little White Lies”  on Thursday, November 17 at 1:30 p.m. in the Bologna Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.  The numbers excerpted are from the operas Le Nozze di Figaro and Cosi fan tutte by W.A. Mozart, Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss, Cavalleria Rusticana by Ruggero Leoncavallo, and Manon by Jules Massenet.    

The singer/actors for the production are Dominique Smith of Greenville, Noelle Lawrence of Greenville, Josh Terry of Memphis, Tenn., Andrew Carlton of Olive Branch, Joseph Abrams of Olive Branch, Joshua Reeves of Walls, Rachel Baber of Saraland, Ala., Stephanie Peck of Southaven and Austin Gray of Terry.  Dr. Kumiko Shimizu, associate professor of music will be the accompanist for the program.  The performance is free and open to the public.
