Australian blues tourists in Ewing Hall

The Delta Center for Culture and Learning at Delta State University recently introduced a group of Australian blues tourists to the Delta.  The group, lead by Helen Jennings who hosts the weekly Australian Public Broadcasting System radio show "Roots of Rhythm," has toured the United States, stopping at places like the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, and the B.B. King Museum.  They were in the Delta for two nights, on their way to New Orleans.  While in the Delta they stopped at Dockery Farms and spent an evening enjoying Po’ Monkey’s Lounge.  The group is pictured next to artist Sharon McConnell’s collection of blues masks, on public display in Ewing Hall on the Delta State University campus outside the Delta Center’s offices.
