Delta State University’s College of Business and The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Memphis Branch, recently hosted a successful small business resource forum in Broom Hall on the campus.

“This was the first year that we held this event. The evaluation results received from participants were positive, and those who attended were well pleased with the information provided by the forum,” according to Dr. Cooper Johnson, chair of Delta State’s Entrepreneurship in Business Technology and professor of management.

Mississippi entrepreneurs, lenders, and those involved in economic development came to receive knowledge and resources to learn how to aide their business success in a challenging business environment.

Morning presentations were delivered by some of Delta State’s business faculty members and Mark Hargett, president of Planters Bank & Trust.

The afternoon ended with a luncheon panel discussing sources of Credit and Financing.  Participants were also given the opportunity to network and meet representatives from the Mississippi Small Business Administration, Mississippi Development Authority, Hope Enterprise Corporation, and local financial institutions.
