By April 13, 2011General

Delta State University will host the 2011 Delta International Film and Video Festival (DIFVF) Wednesday, April 27 – Friday, April 29, with film screenings times to take place at 7 p.m., in the Recital Hall at the Bologna Performing Arts Center on the campus.

The 2011 DIFVF presents a variety of extraordinary films from the United States and abroad. International films from Spain, Italy, South Korea, and Mexico will be screened. Many different types of films will be shown, including documentaries, animations, experimental films, short films, and student work.

The DIFVF will also feature work from the Delta State film and video program in a Student Showcase. Delta State student directors and crews will present their work and engage the audience in a discussion of their films. The audience will choose the best student film.

An exciting addition to this year’s festival includes "Waterboard," a live dance performance by artist Emily Tschiffley.

All screening programs are free and open to the public. Films are for mature audiences. For more information, contact Robyn Moore, director, DIFVF at (662) 846-4720 or e-mail rmoore@deltastate.edu.
