Delta State’s Bologna Performing Arts Center to hold “Singing with the Broadway Stars” contest

Five Broadway stars are giving away chance of a live time to the lucky winners of “Singing with the Broadway Stars” contest. The winners will join them on stage to show off their singing skills during Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway concert at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 27, inside the Bologna Performing Arts Center on the campus.

One winner and three runner-ups will be selected by a panel of industry experts including producers, singers, managers, and Neil Berg himself. For a chance to win, contestants should upload a 90 to 120 second video clip of themselves singing a Broadway favorite to YouTube, MySpace, or Facebook and then email the link of their audition video to submission@singingwiththebroadwaystars.com by 5 p.m., CST on Wednesday, March 16.

Winners will be announced at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, and will be notified via phone or e-mail. The winner and runners-up will each receive two tickets to the performance.

The concert features Broadway stars from Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Fiddler on The Roof, Wonderful Town, Tarzan, Cats, The Woman in White, and It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues all singing the finest hit songs of the last 100 years of Broadway musicals.

Tickets for the concert range from $30 to $42 and special discounts for groups of 15 or more are available.  Tickets can be purchased at the BPAC box office, online at www.bolognapac.com or by phone at 662-846-4626.
