In preparation for the holiday season, Delta State’s Continuing Education Department has scheduled several new, creative, and fun classes for children of all ages starting in December.  Each class is full of creative activities to bring out the imagination in every child.

Mini Merry Makers (3k-5k):
Bring your little ones to an afternoon of holiday ornament making.  Each child will make several age appropriate handmade treasures to enjoy for years to come. The class will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, in Room 111 of the Wright Art Building. Cost is $25 per child.

Art for the Holidays (1st- 6th grade):
In this class each child will create one of a kind holiday art to decorate your home or for gift giving.  The class under the instruction of Jondelyn Catlette  will meet from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 2, in Room 111 of the Wright Art Building. Cost is $25 per child.

Kids in the Kitchen: Gingerbread Houses (1st- 6th grade):
Constructing a gingerbread house is a fun and delicious tradition. Pre-assembled gingerbread houses will be ready for your child to bring to life with unique decorations.  Cam McMillen will be the instructor for the class scheduled to meet from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, in the Ada Swindle Mitchell Food Lab of Ewing Hall on the campus. Cost is $25 per child.

Dough Re Me (1s t- 6th grade):

If so, come join us as we prepare and decorate baked goods such as sugar cookies, cake pops, sucker molds, and more treats for the holiday season!  Lacey Fitts will be the instructor for the class scheduled to meet from 3:30-5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 9, in the Ada Swindle Mitchell Food Lab of Ewing Hall.
