Delta State’s Community Drumming Experience to perform dances from West Africa

The Delta State University Community Drumming Experience, led by Dr. Karen Fosheim, professor of music at Delta Sate, will perform at 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 29, in the State Room of the H.L. Nowell Union on the campus.

The performance will highlight a newly formed African dance troupe under the instruction of Cheryl Townsel.  

The drummers and dancers will present traditional rhythms and dances from West Africa.
