Delta State University will celebrate its 25th annual Pig Pickin’ Friday, Sept. 24, and Saturday, Sept. 25, in Statesmen Park located at the north side of the football stadium.
Friday events include Young Alumni Tailgating Party at 7 p.m., followed by Delta Rox Performance /Ole Skool Revue at 8 p.m., both in Statesmen Park.
Saturday events which includes a KidsZone, live entertainment by Delta State’s “Ol’ Skool Revue” band, pep rally with the Delta State cheerleaders, marching band, and football team will begin at 1 p.m., prior to the Statesmen’s 6 p.m., kick-off versus Henderson State at Parker Field-McCool Stadium.
Barbecue tickets are $5 each and are available for purchase at the Hugh Ellis Walker Alumni-Foundation House. Serving lines will be open from 3-5 p.m. In case of rain, barbecue plates will be available for pick up at the Young-Mauldin Dining Hall.
Game tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Chadwick-Dickson Field House. For more information, visit www.gostatesmen.com.
