Delta State to present Business Conference for Women and Minorities

The Delta State University’s Center for Community and Economic Development, the College of Business, and AmeriCorps*VISTA Project A.S.S.E.T.S., will present the 2nd Annual Business Conference for Women and Minorities from 8 a.m. – 2:15 p.m., Sept. 8, in the State Room of the H.L. Nowell Union on the campus. 

There is a $15 registration fee for the conference and reservations are required. 

Small businesses are the driving force of the American economy providing goods and services as well as creating jobs within the community.  This conference will allow participants who are seeking to start or expand their business, the opportunity to obtain expert information and knowledge to reach their goals. 

Those attending will be able to attend a variety of training seminars such as Understanding Money and Credit, Marketing/Advertising, Business Law, and many more.  During lunch, attendees will be treated to a panel of experts regarding the Economic Impact of Small Businesses.

Delta State, through the Center for Community and Economic Development, and the College of Business, has a longstanding partnership of recruiting and educating individuals on the importance of investing and entrepreneurship.

The general public, entrepreneurs and those involved in economic development are invited and encouraged to attend.
