Delta State to offer First Steps to Starting a Business workshop

Delta State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host First Steps to Starting a Business workshop from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, July 22, at the Henry M. Seymour Library, 201 Cypress Drive in Indianola.

 

Christie Sledge, director of the Small Business Development Center at Delta State, will be the featured speaker.

 

Are you interested in starting your own business, but dont know where to begin? This seminar outlines the basic steps to start a business. Topics include: regulations such as licenses and permits; legal forms of business ownership; basic marketing concepts to help analyze the revenue potential; lending terminology; outline for a business plan and other resources to assist in starting a business.

 

Registration is required for all workshops.

 

Delta State Universitys SBDC is a member of the Mississippi Small Business Development Centers (MSBDC) network and is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. MSBDC has assisted Mississippi businesses since 1981.
