Delta State University’s Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies, and the College of Education, recently kicked off the “Join Us” campaign by hosting an informational session to promote Delta State’s graduate programs to Teach For America (TFA) corps members.

Delta State faculty members were in attendance to answer questions from TFA members who were interested in pursuing a master’s degree after the training institute convenes.

“Many TFA corps members expressed an interest in pursuing a master’s degree at Delta State either in the fall 2010 or spring 2011 term,” commented Dr. Albert Nylander, dean of the Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies at Delta State.

Informational tables were set up throughout the campus to promote the graduate programs to TFA members during their stay this summer.

The Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies will begin the admission process to assist in getting these students enrolled in courses for the upcoming fall and spring terms. “These individuals are motivated to further their education and see Delta State as a very good choice,” stated Kathryn Harlow, Delta State graduate recruiter.
