Delta State Flight Team prepares to compete in Indiana

The Delta State University Flight Team will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana to compete against the largest flight schools in the nation. Over 40 schools will be competing for the right to be named the National Intercollegiate Flying Association Champions. 

 
Ohio State, Embry Riddle, University of North Dakota, Air Force and Purdue are just a few mentioned among the list of schools competing in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference. 
 
The competition will be held at Indiana State University from May 15-22.  Delta State’s “Flying Okra” will compete in spot landings, precision navigation, instrument simulator, comprehensive aerial navigation and flight computer problem solving events.
 
This competition allows students to meet and connect with leading industry companies that offer career minded individuals a competitive edge to achieve career goals.
