Three students and four faculty members from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., toured the Delta with the Delta State University Delta Center for Culture and Learning on April 16.

Stops included the Bryant store in Money where Emmett Till supposedly whistled at Caroline Bryant in 1955, an event that led to his subsequent murder.

Berklee provides scholarships for several Delta students each summer, and the group was in the Delta primarily to recruit new scholarship recipients.  Berklee works closely with the Delta Blues Museum and the Robert Johnson Foundation, and is exploring the possibility of working with Delta State in the future.
