By March 25, 2010General

Delta State University art students (from left) Branigan Robinson of Cleveland, Angela Waller of Batesville, and Amy Burchfield of Cleveland, look over some of the several hundred submissions to the annual student art show.

Northwest Community College Chair Lawayne House selected approximately 120 pieces produced in studio art classes this year.

The show will open on Sunday, March 28, from 4-6 p.m. with a reception and awards announcement in honor of the students. Prior to the reception, from 3-4 p.m., will be a unique presentation sponsored by the Special Programs Committee for “Arts-in-April,” called “Music/Art Synergy Project,” in which art students and music students from the Delta Music Institute and the Music Department will perform and display their art forms.

The art will be on display through April 23.
