Delta State to offer a series of small business ‛First Steps workshops

Delta State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC ) and the Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation will hosta workshop titled “Starting a Small Business Series: First Steps” on Thursday, April 8, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation, 402 highway 82 bypass in Greenwood.

 
This workshop will outline the basic steps to start a business and will include regulations such as licenses and permits; legal forms of business ownership; basic marketing concepts to help analyze the revenue potential; lending terminology; and other resources to assist in starting a business.
 
The Starting a Small Businessseries will also include the following two workshops at the same location on the following dates and times.
 
May 5: Developing a Business Plan from noon to 1 p.m.
June 2: What the Banker Wants from noon to 1 p.m.
 
Registration is required for all workshops.
