The Delta State Department of Social work will host the Margaret Tullos Field Symposium on Friday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Henry J. Jacobs Conference Center of James M. Ewing Hall on the campus.
Registration will be held from 8 to 8:45 a.m. on the day of the conference.
Guest speaker for the event is Lisa Ray, project coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Addiction Studies at the University of Central Arkansas.
Ray will familiarize participants with the concept of motivational interviewing and the beginning strategies and techniques of this client centered method of change.
Social workers that attend will receive 6.0 contact hours.
