By December 10, 2009General

Delta State University dietetics students (from left) Nethel Hector, of the Commonwealth of Dominica, an island nation in the Caribbean Sea, and Tawanda Williams, of Clarksdale, along with Delta State Instructor in Nutrition and Dietetics, Draughon McPherson, stock shelves in Cleveland’s Helping Hands food bank with canned food.

The food was collected by Delta State students enrolled in the Family and Consumer Sciences class Community Nutrition, Supervised Practice, with the help from students in the Cleveland area middle schools and high schools.

This is the fourth year the Delta State dietetic students have collected and delivered food to the Helping Hands food bank.
