DAAIS holds mid-year celebration at Delta State University

The Delta Area Association for Improvement of Schools (DAAIS) held a mid-year celebration with a luncheon in the State Room of the H.L. Nowell Union on the Delta State University campus.

 
During the luncheon, presentations were made to three community college partners comprised of Coahoma Community College; Hinds Community College, Vicksburg Campus; and Mississippi Delta Community College.
 
The keynote of the luncheon was presented by Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann. The topic of Hosemann’s address was “16th Section Leases.” The lease of the 16th section in each township is used for the support of public schools.
