Low Brass Ensembles concert to be presented at Delta State

Delta State University’s Department of Music will present a Low Brass Ensemble concert at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov.16, in the Recital Hall of Bologna Performing Arts Center. 

 
The Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Dr. Douglas Mark, assistant professor of music at Delta State, is a harmonious collection of trombone, euphonium and tuba performers. 
 
In addition to the full Low Brass Choir, the concert will feature the Delta State Trombone Choir and the Delta State Tuba-Euphonium Choir.
 
The performance will include music from a wide variety of time periods and styles. Selected works include Walter Hartley’s Canzona Bach’s“Fugue in g minor, (Little),” “Canticle of Jean Racine” by Gabriel Faure, a renaissance partita by Samuel Scheidt and many others.  There will be something for everyone.
