Delta State University’s College of Business, in partnership with the Center for Community and Economic Development’s AmeriCorps*VISTA Delta Recovery Project, held a two-day credit management workshop entitled “Credit Matters,” on Oct. 8 and 9, in the Baioni Conference Center on the campus.

The workshop addressed various issues such as the advantages and disadvantages of using credit, tips for repairing credit and raising your credit score, what bankers look for in making a business loan, foreclosure pitfalls, preparing a budget, and other topics related to credit management.

Craig Robinson of Madison was the guest speaker for the workshop. Robinson currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Regional President for the State Bank & Trust Company and has 37 years of banking experience.
