The Student Government Association at Delta State University announces the theme for Homecoming 2009 “Veni, Vidi, Vici” (I Came, I Saw, I Conquered).
The SGA encourages everyone to “come” to all the festivities and events, go “see” the Homecoming parade, and motivate our football team to “conquer” the West Georgia Wolves.
The Homecoming parade will be held Friday, Nov. 6, at 4 p.m.
The parade route will begin at the north parking lot of Kent Wyatt Hall, enter the Delta State campus on Sunflower Road, pass in front of the H.L. Nowell Union and exit onto Fifth Avenue. The parade will then proceed on Court St. to Sharpe Avenue, turn north on Sharpe to Sunflower Road and proceed to Statesmen Park for the Homecoming pep rally.
The SGA would like to encourage students and the community to come out and enjoy the parade.
Delta State will play the West Georgia Wolves Saturday, Nov. 7, at 4 p.m. During halftime the Homecoming court will be presented and the queen will be crowned.
