Three Delta State University students injured in an automobile accident on Saturday, March 29, remain in critical condition at area hospitals. Merve Terzigolu, Caitlin Dudley, and Regan Niemann continue to receive treatment around the clock.

“We appreciate the many prayers, calls and donations that we have seen over the last four days,” said Brian Hein, Statesmen and Lady Statesmen Swimming and Diving head coach. “Please continue to keep Merve, Caitlin, and Regan in your thoughts and prayers.”

Merve Terzigolu and Regain Niemann continue to receive treatment at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Tenn., while Caitlin Dudley is currently at University Medical Center in Jackson.  Terzigolu and Dudley are currently members of the Lady Statesmen Swimming and Diving team, while Niemann is a former member.

An account, named in honor of Molly Bates who lost her life in the accident, has been established to help defray medical expenses for Dudley, Niemann, and Terzigolu.  Checks should be made payable to “Molly’s Mile Fund” and mailed to: DSU Athletics, ATTN: Molly’s Mile Fund, DSU Box A-3, Cleveland, Miss. 38733.
