Delta State to extend registration schedule in hurricane aftermath

Delta State University announced today it will extend its late registration period, as to better to serve those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Students wanting to register for classes at DSU will now have until 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, 2005, to do so. Additionally, all late fees will be waived.  

“This is a time when our University, our community and our state must rally do to whatever necessary to help the victims of this tragedy,” Dr. John M. Hilpert, President of Delta State University, said. “We want to serve students with compassion, and this is just one small example of what we can and will do.”  

Faculty and staff will also be working with the student-body to help accommodate the needs of the students during this difficult time.
