Delta School Leadership Pipeline

The full-time Educational Leadership Cohort Program leads to Master’s or Specialist’s degree.  The 13-month program integrates a university curriculum with three P-12 school-based internships.

The Delta School Leadership Pipeline (DSLP) grant began in 2013 to address the goal of increasing K-12 student achievement through the preparation of aspiring principals in the delta region.

Program Admission Requirements:

M.Ed.

  • Standard class A teaching certificate
  • Three years of teaching experience
  • GRE/3.0 or CAAP/3.0
  • GPA of 2.5 or 2.75 on last 60 hours
  • Portfolio
  • Superintendent’s recommendation
  • Structured interview

Ed.S.

  • Standard class AA teaching certificate
  • Three years of teaching experience
  • GRE/3.0 or CAAP/3.0
  • GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Portfolio
  • Letter of intent
  • 3 letters of support
  • Superintendent’s recommendation
  • Structured interview

Scholarships and Benefits:

  • Mississippi Sabbatical leave Pay*
  • $10,000.00 Scholarship* (1/2 upon enrollment and the other ½ upon successful completion)

* Contingent upon funding
* Candidates selected for the DSLP program who do not have superintendent’s recommendation will not be eligible for the MS Sabbatical Leave Pay or the $10,000.00 scholarship.
