Delta State University proudly recognized October as National Cyber Security Month with a Technology Security Showcase. Participants from both the community and campus were in attendance for the October 27 th event. Highlighting the day's event was a luncheon keynote address by The Honorable Bennie G. Thompson, U.S. Congressman, Mississippi Second Congressional District and Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security. He discussed a multitude of security issues facing the country and made time to address questions from the crowd.
In addition to a visit from Congressman Thompson, the day long event featured presentations on network security, account and user management, as well as the latest in conference room security and videoconferencing. The crowd was also treated to a tour of the new Cisco NOW (Network on Wheels).
