Free Music… Is it Worth
the Risk?
Beverly Fratesi, Office of Information
Technology
The freedom
of the Internet provides today’s students with a multitude of
choices on where to download digital music, videos and publications. The decision on the source you choose
can mean the difference between freedom and incarceration. In order to protect yourself in both
the digital world and the real world, you must understand the basics of
peer to peer file sharing and digital downloads and the risks involved.
This session highlights why free music is not always free and why an
informed choice is critical for your future.
