Important
Changes for your Exchange/AD account
In
order to provide a more secure service and provide new tools for the
campus, two significant changes have been implemented for Exchange and
Microsoft Active Directory.
Enhanced Security: To enhance security for our Webmail
and Smartphone users, OIT recently implemented a new SSL certificate for these
services. To access Webmail
from the Internet, make sure you are referencing the following site https://webmail.deltastate.edu. Note the “s” after the
http” as that tells you that you are logging in to a secure site.
Make sure you update your links as the old link will not be available after July 15.
Smartphone
users must change their device to use SSL certificates. This is generally found under the
options settings of your phone.
Reset your Password via the
Web
Oftentimes,
you find yourself trying to log in to your mail or computer system only
to find you have forgotten your password. You can now reset your password
over the web by going to https://passwordreset.deltastate.edu
.
You
will be asked to correctly answer several questions in order to reset
your password.
User Name: current login ID (jdoe)
DSU ID#: your 900 ID number
First Name: your legal first name is required – nicknames or middle
names will not work
Last Name: your full last name
Birthday: MMDDYY format
If
you enter the above successfully, you will be prompted to reset your
password. If you do not know
the answers, then contact the Help Desk @662-846-4444 for
assistance. Remember,
changing your password changes your email and login password - it does
not change your Banner password!
